What services do you provide?

Pawn Plus provides a host of financial services, including pawn loans, check cashing, money orders and Western Union transfers. In addition, we offer bill payment service, prepaid debit cards, prepaid calling cards for cell phones and long distance calling and tax filing services.

What documents are required to get a pawn loan or cash a check?

For a pawn loan, just bring your items along with state issued ID. Additional ID is always helpful as well bringing any documentation related to the items.

When cashing a check, all you need is your state issued ID. For one time checks such as insurance settlements, loan checks and 401k payments, please bring any documentation that came with your check.

Does Pawn Plus offer cash advance loans?

While Pawn Plus does not offer cash advance loans, we do have pawn loans. For a pawn loan, just bring your items along with state issued ID.

Additional ID is always helpful as well bringing any documentation related to the items.

How do you determine an item’s worth?

We base pawn loan amounts on the value of your item—its current appraised value, its current condition and its retail value. We use all the research tools we have at our disposal to determine an item’s value and get you the most money we can.

The appraisal process varies depending on the type of item—for example, jewelry is evaluated differently than a DVD player. We constantly review items to ensure that our loan values are in line with the general marketplace for previously owned merchandise.

Can you give a quote on an item over the phone?

Unfortunately, we cannot give quotes over the phone because loan amounts vary greatly depending on the condition of an item. For general merchandise, we test each item to ensure it is in good working condition. This includes, but is not limited to, a visual inspection, plugging an item in and turning it on, and noting if any necessary accessories and manuals are included.

The better the condition of your item, the more money we can loan. And for jewelry, we test to ensure diamonds and gold are genuine. This testing includes a visual inspection using a jeweler’s loupe, weighing the item, sizing (determining carat weight) any diamonds, and noting the cut/color/clarity of each—you may know this as the 4 Cs.

Will my valuable items be safe while at Pawn Plus?

Customers can be assured that Pawn Plus will safeguard their valuables. All jewelry will be held in secure safes in a protected area within the store. Items other than jewelry are held in secure, limited access areas. All stores have several layers of security including alarm systems, surveillance systems and locked and secured areas.

We carry insurance for the full value of your loan.
