Job Description:

The Store Manager is a proven result driven retail manager that will be responsible for the overall management of the store. The Store Manager will be able to enhance customer satisfaction, meet sales and profitability goals and manage store staff effectively. The Store Manager should have a background in financial planning, employee recruitment, and retail management. Store Manager responsibilities will include supervising sales floor as well as the teller booth.

  • Oversees all store operational requirements through scheduling and assigning employees; and following up on work results.
  • Oversees all store staff through the recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training of all store employees.
  • Oversees store staff job results through coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees as necessary; as well as planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
  • Oversees all financial objectives by working towards a sales budget; managing expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions as needed.
  • Oversees all current and future customer requirements by establishing rapport with potential and actual customers and building a long-term relationship.
  • Oversees the availability of merchandise and services through effective buying from vendors and properly maintaining inventories.
  • Oversees pricing policies in store by reviewing merchandising activities; determining additional needed sales markdowns; and studying selling trends in store.
  • Oversees the execution of all visual merchandising in store to effectively promote sales and plans.
  • Oversees the asset management of merchandise by implementing security systems and measures as dictated by store.
  • Oversees the security and protection of employees and customers by providing a safe and clean store environment.
  • Oversees and maintains the stability and reputation of the store by complying with legal requirements.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
  • Oversees and maintains all levels of operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.
  • Executes business strategies to meet the customers’ expectations, expand store traffic and optimize profitability.
  • Executes sales goals through the training, motivating, mentoring and providing feedback to all sales staff.
  • Executes high levels of customers satisfaction through outstanding customer service.
  • Executes all store administrative activities and compliance with all policies and procedures.
  • Proven ability to report on buying trends, customer needs, performance of the store as well as ideas to increase customer traffic and market share.
  • Proven ability to conduct personnel performance appraisals to assess training needs and build career paths for all store staff.
  • Proven ability to deal with customer and employee resolution issues (complaints, grievances etc.)
  • Additional store manager duties as necessary to perform the job.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field preferred
  • 3+ years of retail management experience
  • Proven successful experience as a retail manager
  • Proven leadership skills and team building
  • Proven customer management skills
  • Proven strong organizational skills
  • Proven communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven history of successfully training employees
  • Proven understanding of sales and customer service techniques
  • Proven ability to maintain and work within a budget and manage a P&L.
